2006-03-20: Triconex secures $1.2 million for all critical control for an entire Egypt ammonia facility scheduled for start up late 2007. Applications include turbine/compressor control, motor/compressor control, overspeed trip protection, burner management, and process emergency shutdown. The operations superintendent interviewed the vendors being considered and indicated it was Triconex's proven/durable platform, and Triconex's extensive application expertise that garnered this critical award for all critical control in this ammonia facility.
2006-03-10: Invensys Triconex has been awarded a 1 million dollar contract for a Safety Instrumented System for a refinery on the Texas Gulf Coast. The project includes the delivery of two Tricon TMR based safety systems and associated engineering for the Coker Unit on this site, the Tricon was selected to give the Coker added reliability.
2005-11-02: Invensys Triconex has received a $715k Critical Turbomachinery contract with a Louisiana-based petroleum refinery. The contract includes a Tricon TMR control system for a Hydrogen Recycle Compressor, to perform turbine governor. compressor antisurge, and machinery protection to this highly critical machine. Also included in this order is another Tricon TMR control system for 2 Hydrogen Makeup Recip Compressors. This single TMR platform will provide compressor protection and local control functions for both machines. Included in both packages are local field control panels with touch screen HMI, as well as integrated vibration monitoring. Invensys Triconex is interfacing to Invensys Foxboro's IA DCS with both critical machine control systems. These three machines are new GE compressors slated for site installation in late 2006. Invensys Triconex TMR platform is unique in its broad-based application to plant safety, turbomachinery, burner management, high integrity/high availability, fire and gas, critical alarm, and many other applications. Plant customers receive the highest in plant asset performance and availability while maintaining common engineering, design, training, spare parts for all of their critical control applications.
2005-10-31: Triconex has been awarded a 3.5 Million dollar contract for Safety Instrumented Systems from a world class refinery in Louisiana. This order is one of 5 projects totaling 8 Million dollars. The projects include the installation of the Invensys-Triconex Tricon TMR controller for the FCCU, SRU, and Alky units critical machinery controls and emergency shutdown systems. Invensys-Triconex was awarded the turnkey (engineering and construction) instrumentation and controls installation for these large, critical refinery projects. Invensys-Triconex had provided turnkey installation on prior projects with this customer and the success of this approach resulted in this new turnkey project award. The contract includes the Tricon TMR controllers, programmed and integrated into system cabinets, field instrumentation and controls engineering and installation. The services include detailed engineering, programming, DCS graphics building, documentation, integration, testing, training, and startup services.

2005-05-20: Invensys Triconex received a contract totalling $370K to upgrade safety instrumented systems at a refinery in Richmond, Texas. The project involves upgrading existing Triconex equipment utilizing the SmartUpgrade program. SmartUpgrades allow users to migrate older Triconex systems to the latest technology with minimal system or process disruption. I/O modules can be upgraded on-line, while main processor and communication modules can be upgraded off-line in a matter of hours. SmartUpgrades provide users the ability to extend the life of their safety system and protect their original investment while obtaining state-of-the-art safety system technology.
2005-05-10: Triconex received a Safety Instrumented System contract valued at $255K from a major Olefins plant in Houston, TX.The contract includes the supply of a Trident TMR system to provide both high safety and process availability. 2004-12-10: Invensys Korea has been awarded a $2.5 million contract for Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems from Hyundai Petrochemical. The project includes replacement of ABB August safety systems with Triconex Tricon TMR controllers. The Tricon controller provides process plants with the highest level of both safety and reliability in a package that is easy to configure, implement and maintain. This is the second major installation for Tricon controllers at Hyundai Petrochemical, with current systems being utilized for Safety as well as Integrated Turbine/Compressor Control.
